A: If your current hosting provider can no longer match the requirements of your site, or when you suffer from frequent downtime, or if you have to wait for hours for the customer care staff to reply back to you, it might be a good idea to swap your hosting provider, i.e. to migrate all the files for your sites along with your databases from your present provider to your new provider. At Dunham Hosting, we are aware that this can be difficult and time–consuming. That is the reason why we’ll perform all that for you for free!Our skilled technical staff reps will migrate your site content from your current hosting provider to us. Our techs have got broad experience with website migration and are able to take care of everything – from a conventional WordPress–based weblog or Joomla^™–powered website, to an extremely complex, custom–made application.

A: While we cannot give you an exact time window, since there are a lot of variables, among them the size of the files and databases, the physical location of the present host’s server, the complexity of your web site and the current workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we will try our best to migrate your website within 48 hours, and in some cases – within 24 hours (if the website content is not large).

A: We do not collect any personal details. We’ll need, however, the login info for your current web hosting account and the name of the web site that you wish to move.

A: Our Privacy Policy is an inseparable part of the agreement that we will have with you as a client. We are devoted to safeguarding the safety of the private data obtained from the clients. To do that, we employ technical safety measures to avoid the loss, the misappropriation, the modification or the unlawful disclosure of the private details under our control. The measures include, but are not limited to: physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the data that we gather on the web. When we ask clients to provide financial information (such as a debit card number), this info is secured using the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption method.

A: While we transfer your site, it will be available both in your web hosting account with us and in your account with your previous hosting provider. When the transfer is over, we will make certain that everything is functioning correctly and that the integrity of your web content is not jeopardized before notifying you that the transfer is done. Then we’ll instruct you how to transfer the domain name to your web hosting account with us and how to edit the DNS settings.

A: Nope. We’ll never touch base with your hosting provider about anything at all. They won’t be aware of the web site migration either.

A: We can migrate your web site from any hosting provider or any Linux–powered hosting platform as long as we can get access to the Control Panel and there is FTP access available.The only websites that we can’t transfer are those based on closed–source software applications like Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square and Mr Site.
